At Grandweld Shipyards, innovation isn’t just a buzzword—it’s a way of life. And in 2024, we marked a bold new chapter in our journey by expanding into the defence and strategic marine support sector. This milestone isn’t just about entering a new market—it’s about redefining what’s possible through speed, precision, and engineering excellence.

The 45m Fast Attack Craft

Grandweld successfully delivered a 45-meter Fast Attack Craft, built to exacting military standards. The vessel met stringent performance benchmarks and it exceeded expectations, earning international praise for its build quality and swift delivery timeline. For us, this wasn’t just a project; it was a clear statement: Grandweld is ready to serve the defence industry.

The 17m Interceptor Vessel

Pushing our boundaries even further, we introduced a 17-meter high-speed Interceptor Vessel, engineered specifically for rapid-response and coastal security missions. This project was developed in collaboration with renowned international naval architects and marked our first use of surface drive propulsion systems—a leap forward in marine innovation.

Designed with agility and speed in mind, this vessel is a reflection of our adaptive engineering capabilities and willingness to embrace advanced technologies to support critical missions.

The 24m Crew Boat

Grandweld has also made its presence felt in the crew transfer segment, with the launch of a 24-meter aluminium-hull crew boat. Tailored for port and anchorage operations in demanding locations like Fujairah, this vessel offers the perfect blend of speed, endurance, and reliability. Designed for efficient transport of both personnel and cargo, it’s yet another example of how Grandweld delivers performance without compromise—even in the most challenging marine environments.

As we continue to expand into new frontiers, our focus remains clear: building vessels that go beyond expectations—whether for defence, commercial, or strategic support roles.
