Grandweld Shipyards made its first-ever participation in NAVDEX 2025, proudly showcasing its capabilities at the region’s largest naval defence and maritime security exhibition, which took place from 17 to 21 February at the ADNEC Centre in Abu Dhabi. The historic milestone reflects Grandweld’s focus on developing maritime solutions and expanding its position in the naval defence industry.

Demonstrating Innovation Globally

NAVDEX, held alongside IDEX under the esteemed patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, is a pivotal event in the global maritime industry. Organized by Capital Events in collaboration with the UAE Armed Forces, the exhibition brings together leading defence and security entities, high-ranking military delegations, and industry professionals to explore cutting-edge naval technologies.

Featuring a dedicated exhibition hall, the ADNEC Marina for visiting naval vessels, an outdoor display area, and live demonstrations, NAVDEX provides a comprehensive platform to highlight advancements in maritime defence and security.

Grandweld’s Impactful Presence at NAVDEX 2025

Making a strong impression at Stand C-041, Grandweld Shipyards introduced two of its latest naval and security vessels, reflecting its expertise in delivering advanced maritime solutions:

  • FA-400 Offshore Patrol Vessel – Co-developed with ADSB and EDGE, this cutting-edge patrol vessel is designed for enhanced performance and operational efficacy in naval security operations. It’s specialty stands out for coastal and offshore patrolling, ISR, fast striking, and exclusive zone surveillance. 
  • 21m Patrol Vessel – A light, high-speed patrol boat that is intended to augment coastal and naval defense capabilities, highlighting Grandweld’s expertise in building nimble and mission-capable vessels.
